About Ravela Insights

Ravela exists to empower nonprofits to understand and make strategic fundraising decisions based on their donor data. Because philanthropic revenue can be risky, Ravela works hard to take the guesswork out of fundraising. Not only will we show you what efforts are most fruitful and predictable, we’ll work with you to identify every gap in giving and opportunity to increase funds. Meet the leadership team making all of that possible.

Mary Hackett, Founder and Principal of Ravela Insights

Mary Hackett

Principal & Founder

In her years of fundraising for local, regional, national, and political organizations, Mary has honed her annual, major and campaign solicitation skills by working with a multitude of organizations specializing in advocacy, improving the lives of children, ballot initiatives, and community health-care. In addition, she has utilized her database and analytical skills to drive strategic and impactful outcomes for acquiring, retaining, and upgrading donors of all giving levels.

She possesses a deep understanding of organizational development and how the symmetry between structure, content, and people are a formula for success. She has honed her ability to unite an organization’s programmatic elements with donors’ philanthropic intentions, making them investors in not only the operating elements but true organizational advancement.

Mary has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Dayton and a Masters Degree from Gonzaga University. When she is not working, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband Aaron, exploring the Pacific Northwest, reading, practicing yoga, and hiking. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Mary today!

Aaron Hackett

Principal & COO

Aaron began working as a newspaper boy at the age of 11. During high school, he discovered his love of cooking and decided to obtain a culinary degree. Throughout the next 20 years, Aaron served as Executive Chef and Sous Chef for country clubs and bistros. He managed large teams, budgets, inventories, and catering operations.

With some persuasion, Aaron left his culinary jobs behind to help Mary run their business. He manages Ravela’s operations, including finance, marketing, social media, and all the day-to-day goings on. His sense of humor and general laidback demeanor helps set the tone and culture of Ravela Insights.

Aaron has a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC. In his free time, Aaron likes to golf, root for the Seattle Sounders, and whisk Mary away in their RV.
